Leaps and Bounds Design is run by Arjan van Woensel and Marisa Garau (pictured with Boderick, our fluffy friend).

We work with publishers, marketing teams, and independent authors on designing books that stand out in an increasingly crowded marketplace. Whether it’s a bold cover that pops off the shelf or a subtle brand identity that quietly reinforces trust, we believe book design should always serve both story and strategy.

Having written, branded and designed books for over two decades, we offer a unique perspective on creating books, as we understand what it takes to not only write a book, but to also print and publish it professionally.

Trusted by top indie and trade publishers, we have helped launch work in every genre, from debut novels and memoirs to thought-leadership non-fiction and photography books.

We provide covers and interior layout design for:

• Printed books
• e-Books
• Author branding
• Editing and proofreading

Reviews

The responses to my book’s layout, both the cover and the interior print file, have been overwhelmingly positive. People see the cover and have an immediate strong interest in the book. Arjan is a pleasure to work with and his work is top notch!

Arjan is the best! He beautifully designed the interior of my gothic novel and created a gorgeous hardcover dust jacket. He is very agreeable and deceptively laid back, while in practice he is rigorously careful about all the big and little aspects of his work.
